After The Dawn. Bella and Edward are together forever... literally. Their marriage has been bliss, their daughter, Renesmee is alive and healthy, safe from the Volturi... at least, for now.
Jacob rarely leaves Renesmee's side as he watches her in her rapid growth. The object of his imprinting, Renesmee grows into a beautiful hybrid with the looks of both Edward and Bella, easily making her a sight to behold for any and all. Her beauty, however, tends to draw attention that would much rather be averted, leading her into dangers not yet faced and perils that lie hidden.
Jacob, the current Alpha of his pack, must also remember his duties as such, while still giving Renesmee all that she needs and wishes for. Jacob's pack, in correlation with Sam's pack, must help to keep the balance between the Vampires, Shape-Shifters and any other threats that may potentially be on the horizon.
As Renesmee develops and as the plot thickens, worlds collide as lives intertwine in unexpected ways. Bella and Edward, happily married in their eternal bond, must continue to protect their child, from both the evils and perils of the world and the dangers it possesses.
Soon to come in this box: Member of the Month, Vampire of the Month, Shape-Shifter of the Month, and Human of the Month! That is, when we get enough members!
Season:: Summer Weather: Partly cloudy. The sun might peek through the clouds, though the chances of that are highly unlikely.
cBox Rules
1) No spam. This means no more than 3 posts in a row, please.
2) Do not advertise your sites here. We have an advertisement area for that. Links in your name are ok.
3) Keep it fairly clean, please. I know this site doesn't have a rating, but that doesn't mean going grpahic in the chatterbox. No more graphic than PG-13 here, please.
4) Do not flame or harass other members. We have the capabilities of looking at IP addresses and we're not afraid to use them! =O
5) Do not impersonate another person or member. Again, we have IP addresses. If anyone tries to impersonate another member, then that IP address will be put on the banned IP address list.
Any excessive rulebreaking and Chatterbox privelages will be taken away. Thank you and enjoy yourselves.

General Forum Rules « Thread Started on Aug 6, 2008, 11:14pm »
After The Dawn is a Intermediate to Advanced Roleplay based off of the Twilight Saga written by Stephenie Meyer. It's best that you have read the books before joining the forum, although it's not a requirement. It would make things easier on you, the roleplayer, if you have.
This forum allows all types of creatures, from Humans to Vampires to Shape-Shifters to even hybrids. More information about each of these species will be discussed later in on the rules.
AtD has no specific rating, meaning there may be content that is unsuitable for those in the younger ages. However, any posts that might have otherwise unsuitable content for the younger crowd is to be labeled as such.
General Rules Please, when creating a character, there is only one character per account. If you want more than one character, then please create a new account to do so. This will allow the sorting system to work properly and make it easier for other members to know who you are and what species you are.
1) If you want to play a cannon character, please contact the admin with a sample roleplay post as well as reasons as to why you think you would be good for this character. Please also post in the Cannon Character's thread that you would like to roleplay with a post saying you're interested in roleplaying that character. ALL SAMPLE ROLEPLAYS ARE TO BE SENT TO THE CORRECT ADMIN!
2) Your character, if it isn't a cannon character, may be turned into either a Shape-Shifter or a Vampire, but a staff member must be contacted beforehand. If you're just creating a character just to turn it, then it would be best for you to create the vampire or shape-shifter in the first place.
3) All posts must be at least 10 lines in length or roughly 250 words. This isn't that difficult to do. I know that sometimes you get writers block, but dont make it a habit with shorter posts.
4) Since this site has no specific rating, when making a thread, if there is going to be graphic details (AKA Sex scenes, gore, massive swearing, etc) then you must post in the thread title that the thread will contain such. There are more than just adults on this forum and I want to make that clear to everyone.
5) You may have as many characters as you want, but you have to realize you have to be able to keep up with ALL of them. If it gets to be too much and you can't handle the amount of characters you have, then please disown one or more of them so others may pick them up and roleplays aren't held up. Remember: EACH CHARACTER MUST HAVE IT'S OWN ACCOUNT.
Vampires, Shape-Shifters, Hybrids, Oh my! As stated, Shape-Shifter, Vampires and Hybrids are all allowed, but there are some specific rules that must be followed with them.
1) All Vampires, Shape-Shifters and Hybrids MUST be cleared through a staff member before they are posted under the character creation section.
2) If you are approved for a vampire/shape-shifter/hybrid, you must fill out the appropriate form for each. I don't want to see a shape-shifter form used to make a vampire or a hybrid form to be used for a human.
3) Obviously these will be the most popular choices of roleplayers, given the fact they're special in the sense they have abilities and whatnot. This doesn't mean you can go overboard and powerplay with any of them, especially when it comes to Humans.
Vampires
Vampires are to have one and only one special ability to them. Abilities may evolve as the roleplayer gets used to them and as the character evolves, but other than that, only one ability and no more.
Your character may be turned from a human to a vampire, but only with a staff members approval. Any humans that have gone through this process must be aware that there is a lot more to go on with the newborn vampires than some things and that they will be vulnerable and nearly uncontrollable, which is why they are to be approved by a staff member. They are subject to be changed and whatnot by staff members as well if roleplaying with them gets out of line.
Shape-Shifters
Shape-Shifters must be equal or around the number to how many vampires are being played within the area. Thus, there can't be more shape-shifters than there are vampires and vice-versa.
Shape-Shifters MUST be approved by an admin and will be added to whichever pack is in need of more Shape-Shifters. This is subject to change at some points if you have a specific pack you want to be a part of. You will have to roleplay out acceptance to the pack of your choice or even the pack that you are assigned to.
Hybrids
Hybrids are a rarity and are to be few in number. To roleplay a hybrid, you must have at least one other ACTIVE character and more than 50 posts.
Hybrids can be one of two mixtures... Human/Vampire or Vampire/Shape-Shifter. Either type of hybrid is extremely rare and must be earned and approved by a staff member.
OOC Rules
1) Yes, every board has it. No flaming or harassing other members. Just because one person's character doesn't seem to like one of your characters, doesn't mean that this person has any problems with you. If there comes a time when disputes must happen, they are NOT to happen over the forum boards and ARE to be taken care of through Private Messaging. If Private Messaging doesn't work and the problems persist, then contact one of your admins and they will take care of it as soon as possible.
2) Please be considerate of other members and be mindful of the age range here. If you're going to be graphic, please post that in the subject.
3) Please use some for of OOC, such as ((This)), OOC// This or your own form that stands out from your general roleplaying fashion.
4) When talking out loud, please use bold and "quotations" so it makes it easier for the person replying and the other roleplayers to know when your character is speaking and when they are not.
5) When your character is thinking, please use some form of italics. There are going to be characters here who have mind-reading capabilities and such things are deemed necessary in this sort of situation. It also helps to decipher if your character is speaking or thinking.
6) N0 Ch@t$p34k. It's annoying, hard to read... and illiterate. This is a literate to advanced forum and chatspeak will NOT be tolerated.
7) Respect your staff members. They are here to keep the forum fun and entertaining for everyone as well as help when help is needed. If you have a problem with a certain staff member, take it up with another staff member and they will handle it.
IC Rules
1) As stated before, when your character speaks, please BOLD the speach. You may use Color with your speech as well if you so wish. If your character is thinking, please use some form of italics
2) ABSOLUTELY NO POWERPLAYING OR GODMODING! It's not fair and it will NOT be tolerated. If it happens on more than one occasion and you've already been warned once about it, it could lead to your termination from the forum.
3) If there are three or more roleplayers in a roleplay, a posting order must be established.
4) Please do not double post. If you have more than one character in a particular roleplay, then you roleplay them in the same post or after a posting order has been established. You may not have two successive posts.
5) Role playing posts must be at least 10 lines long in the default font. Sorry guys, not size 72 font just so you can fill the 10 lines. If you have no muse wait to post. There is no rule that you absolutely have to post within five minutes of reading the last post. Wait a little while for inspiration to strike. There is no maximum to posting.
6) If you create a thread that is meant only for another member, please designate it. Such as --- Role Playing Title (open only for whatshisname).
7) Where the aging of a character is considered, your character ages as you wish them to. No one can tell you when your character is old and has to die. The age of your character is completely up to you.
8) Your character may be in more than one roleplay at a time, but please no more than three.
Fighting
Fighting is one of the best parts of rping, but please don't make it your life's mission to fight with every member's character that ever lived.
Major fights must be judged and reviewed by a staff member. Major fights can be fights with two or more characters that fight to win something. Major fights can be to the death or over partners.
Small scraps are allowed in role plays and do not have to be judged by a staff member. Both characters walk away from scraps and neither of the characters wins or looses. If you are fighting over something or fighting to prove something, it is considered a major fight.
The victor of a fight is determined by the staff who moderates the fight unless the victor has been pre-determined by the members.
Breaking The Rules
Now come the consequeces...dun, dun, duhhhh!
Your first major offense (if you make any) will result in a warming from a staff member either in the board or through PMs.
Your second offense gets you a 20% warning level on your profile for all to see.
The third results in 30%.
Fourth = another 40%.
And by the fifth time you are warned, your account is deleted and your IP is banned from this site.
Sounds like fun doesn’t it?
Other Information
If you create an account and your account is not activated within one month of creating it, it will be deleted.
After 6 months of inactivity, your account will be deleted. This means you must have posted within the 6 month period as well as logged in.
You have one week to post in any thread. If you do not follow this, you will be warned.
If you are a member and you have not replied to a posted activity check, you will be warned VIA PM as well as given a 10% warning. This is effective as of April 1, 2008. Any activity checks not replied to after that time will receive the previously mentioned warnings and so on and so forth through the posted consequences. This is to ensure that you are not just coming to the site whenever you are messaged in order to be active.
It is YOUR responsibility to post in the Activity Check thread.
All activity check rules apply.
If you have any questions or are confused about any of the rules, PM either myself, experienced members, or other staff members. We will do our best to help you.
